Question: New diagnosis bronchiectasis. why is GERD a complication with that? choking some on food, gagging, coughing, then phlegm

What is best OTC for acid reflux or GERD? My pulmonologist reports I have bronchiectasis from both chronic pneumonia and chronic bronchitis per CT scan...widening of airways.
