ED: Sinus tachycardia, rate 106, multiple PVCs, right atrial elargement, nonspecific repolarization abnormality, QTC 425

Apparently I cannot get the ECK imaging online. I will have to see if I can get it directly after the weekend. I have uploaded the rest of the results.

No previous medical history.
Previously I was taking hydrocodone for tooth and I got several fast tachycardias over a few days. Stopping medication I thought stopped the tachs.

Then 5 weeks later I got another tachycardia, and then I noticed the heart "skipping" every 5 - 10 beats and went to the ER.

The skips are still happening.

The ER gave me metoprolol and just today (the day after) I felt my heart stop for a second or two and then another fast tachycardia.

Brief Answer:
Hello again

Detailed Answer:
Sir, from the medical summary report attached by you it’s certain that you are having premature beats which in majority of the cases are harmful (although can hamper quality of life by bothering).

It’s advisable to get the following tests done to understand the situation better

1. Thyroid profile
2. Holter monitoring

Kind Regards

So you said the majority of the cases these are harmful. My question is, when the tachycardia happens, because these are PVCS, the tachycardia is almost certainly a VT. Would you agree with that?

Brief Answer:
My apologies that’s a typo

Detailed Answer:
I am extremely sorry for the typo (typing error). I wanted to say “these are HARMLESS in majority of the cases.

Kindly get the above mentioned tests done and revert back with reports.

By the mean time you should continue with the prescribed medication, as that will help keep the vpcs in check. No these are not VT.

One more follow up, if you please. I know the PVCS are not VT, but when I get the fast tachycardia at 140bps, I am assuming that THIS is the VT since it is related directly to the PVCS?

Brief Answer:
Hello again

Detailed Answer:
See there are specific and stringent criteria’s for diagnosis of VT (as it is a medical emergency). All tachycardia’s are not VT.

Your ECG finding which you mentioned earlier DO NOT suggest any such arrhythmia like VT.

I hope this clarifies your doubts. Still I urge if you can arrange your ecg tracing please do share.
