Brief Answer:
The rehabilitation should be multi-modal and complete.

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,

The rehabilitation after a major stroke takes time to see the results (even a couple of years).

The rehabilitation should be complete and multimodal, besides physical therapy (motor-skill exercises, range of motion therapy, mobility training, etc.), technology-assisted physical activities and cognitive and emotional activities should be part of the rehabilitation also.

These include functional electrical stimulation, robotic technology, virtual reality technology, therapy for cognitive and communication disorders, psychological evaluation and treatment, etc.

So, the rehabilitation must be complete to see if there are chances of improvement or not.

These issues should be discussed with trained and experienced medical workers that deal with rehabilitation.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Thanks.
