Noticed Bleeding From Anus, Frequent And Uncontrollable Bowel Movement. Is There Any Permanent Cure For This?
Thanks for posting your query on Health Care Magic.
You have mentioned that you are suffering from bleeding from anus, frequent and uncontrollable bowel movement.
These symptoms at your age suggest an IBS) or Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
You need to visit a gastroenterologist for a hemogram, an ultrasound/ CT scan abdomen and colonoscopy.
Colonoscopy will help to find out a bleeding site which can be an ulcer, polyp, growth, etc.
The medication that you have taken are pancreatic enzyme preparation, metronidazole (for controlling infection) and anti-diarrheal (to control frequency of diarrhea).
The itching that you are experiencing can be due to side effect of any of the drugs or due to the primary disease process.
A permanent cure can only be planned after clinical examination and relevant investigations.
If you have more concerns, I will be glad to answer.

I had visited a surgeon at a nearby hospital who had inserted a device in my anus and performed a Camera Test & these medicines were suggested only after this test. I wonder if this is the same as colonoscopy. I had also undergone a complete blood test like RBC, CBC, HIV/HBSAG, X-Ray, ECG. Is this hemogram? If not what are these & how are they different? Where can they be done & what would be the approximate cost? Would that be covered by Bajaj Allianz Health Insurance?
Also I am not able to differentiate between a gas discharge & stool discharge. There might be an unexpected stool discharge along with gas. Also it is foul smelling. Bowels are also foul smelling. After using the toilet also the smell remains. Anus gives a strange smell, due to which it becomes very embarrassing in the office.

Yes colonoscopy is the procedure of inserting a flexible scope with camera on its head. The camera views the colonic mucosa. The view of the mucosa can be viewed on the a computer screen.
Hemogram is same as RBC and CBC.
You have had all the relevant investigations.
What are the findings of these tests?
Besides, a stool routine examination and culture should also be done, if not done.
It you have reports of all these tests, kindly post them for interpretation.
The problem of passing stools with flatus and bad odourous flatus and stools point towards the large intestinal problem.
The colonoscopy and stool will find out the cause for these symptoms.
Thanks and take care.

I did have a camera test like this but there wasn’t a monitor or computer screen on which I could view. It was a small device & only the doctor could view.
Is colonoscopy Painful? How long does it take in the hospital? How many days?
The Doctor just viewed the reports & never told me anything. The Reports were Normal as told to me by the doctor, when I questioned. However the findings of the tests have been placed below if the attached report is not visible: (I have typed the entire thing for you.)

All the investigations that you have attached are absolutely normal.
The hemogram (blood investigations) are within normal limits. The urine and stool parameters are also normal.
You have already had colonoscopy. It is the same procedure that you have described.
If the colonoscopy findings are normal, then it seems that you are suffering from irritable bowel disease (IBS).
It is a disease in which bowel movements are abnormal, but without any lesion in the body.
It is managed by making dietary modifications and by certain drugs.
You need to consult your gastroenterologist for further management.
Thanks and take care.

The results of the camera test performed by the doctor on me, was XXXXXXX piles & proctitis (Swelling of the rectum). And the doctor suggested the medicines Enzaar Forte, Flaggyl 400, Immodium & Daflon 500 for 15 days. Exended upto 1 month. After which there was no improvement in the condition & the symptoms continued. So he straight away suggested surgery.
Now I wonder whether am I suffering from proctitis or XXXXXXX piles. Because bleeding due to proctitis is often confused with XXXXXXX piles. Whether I am supposed to get operated for XXXXXXX piles or proctitis. If XXXXXXX piles, then how would proctitis be cured?
If the same can be cured without surgery, why not now itself? Why wait for surgery? What is the non surgical remedy for it? Can you suggest a permanent cure for it?

XXXXXXX piles are dilated and thrombosed veins in the lower most end of intestinal tract. The lower most end is the anal canal.
Proctitis is inflammation of the rectal mucosa.
The management of the XXXXXXX piles is surgical.
So, surgery is the option for this problem.
Thanks and take care.
