Noticed Little Black Particles In Semen After Ejaculations. Anything Serious?

Question: My fiance has noticed little black particles in his seman after he ejaculates. It is not fluff from his underwear. What else could this be and how serious?

Black particles in the semen could only be blood clots. Blood in the semen is usually a self-limiting condition and doesn't need any form of treatment. I would suggest getting a semen analysis to be sure.

Thank you for the response. He is only 26. Any other signs we should watch for in the meantime? He has no pain/trauma or changes therefore not too sure why blood would be present.

Blood in the semen is caused by inflammation 90% of the time and it rarely causes pain or any other symptoms other than blood being present in the semen. Another cause would be urinalysis, semen analysis, digital rectal examination and ultrasound. Best of Luck.
