Pain Behind Left Knee, Two Weeks, Inhibits Movement. Pain Subsides
Question: Pain behind left knee, two weeks, inhibits movement. Pain subsides with Alene but returns
Brief Answer:
Could be Baker's cyst.
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have read the details and since there is inhibition of movements also , it may be a swelling in the knee posteriorly causing restriction of movements and pain. This swelling is usually A Popliteal cyst( Called Bakers Cyst).
I suggest ultrasound of knee Posterior part to confirm the swelling.
If it is baker's cyst then the treatment is only surgical.
Thanks for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
