you can try this as an add-on therapy...

Detailed Answer:
Hello there,
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service...
I've gone through your query in details...
I can understand your concerns...

Although nothing can replace the standard physical therapist's role, this type of decompressive support/belt can be put on especially if you are in a desk-job or spend a long time in a sitting posture.

Additionally, the pain medications should be continued as you're already taking.

So, yes, you can put on this back support as an add-on therapy and observe the progress afterwards. However, I'd also encourage to undergo routine physiotherapy under the supervision of the physiotherapist to yield the most benefit out of it in the long run...

Let me know if I can assist you further...
Wish you a good health...

Kind Regards
