Painful Holes In The Anus With Bleeding. Using Hemorrhoids Medication. Advice?
Question: I have two holes about two inches above my anus. They hurt and one is bleeding. Please advise what this is. I have been putting hemmorhoid medicine on them and they will close up and then will open back up at times. The first time I had a hole appear I had sat in a hard chair and when I got up there was a large amount of blood on my pants as if something had burst. That is when I found the hole. Please advise. Thanks
Hi
Thanks for posting your query
Here is some information I need before I can help you out
1] Where exactly are the holes situated - Anterior to anus or posterior to anus ?
2] Are they in the midline ?
3] Is there any regular soiling of the undergarments ?
4] Do you have fever ?
5] Do you have any investigations like ultrasound done?
From the basic information you have provided it seems to be a pilonidal sinus
Yet if you can enlighten on the details the impression becomes more clear

The first one is one inch and the other an inch above that both posterior to anus. No fever and no puss, just blood when the holes are open. No investigation yet.
Hi
Thanks for your followup
It seems to be a Pilonidal sinus, and it is good it is not infected
Would suggest get an ultrasound done and get back to me with the reports for further guidance
Hope this helps
Wishing you a speedy recovery
