Peeling In Mouth, Lips, Tongue. Can Peroxide Burns Cause This?
Question: can 3% peroxide burn and cause pealing of mouth, lips, tongue and taste buds for an extended period (with using the peroxode only few times?
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Hydrogen peroxide is a clear, colourless liquid which easily mixes with water and is used for various purposes. If it has been used in greater amount and concentration it can cause burning of skin and allergic reaction.
Though many people do not exhibit any reaction but being a powerful oxygenator and oxidizer severe reactions can be expected.
If there has been a direct contact with the skin in large amount then peeling is not unusual.
If it has been present for long kindly visit a Physician for evaluation.
Hope this answers your query. I will be available for follow up if any.
