Question: I have pins and needles and pain in foot
Pins and needles in both upper and lower limbs

I have had Three times in 5 months

I have some lower back pain but this does not explain pain in foot and upper limb pins and needles

I have been dealing with a stressful family situation and work has been stressful

I am generally very active and eat healthy and don’t drink or smoke

pins and needle sensation could be related to stress also.

Detailed Answer:
Hi ,
You are right when you d=say that back pain cannot lead to abnormal sensations in upper limbs.
Stress , especially if it is prolonged and severe , can lead to abnormal sensations and abnormal movements also.
Systemically we would like to rule out vitamin B12 deficiency also. So please get blood test for vit B12 levels.
Start on some anxiolytic drug in the meantime.
