Please Advise If I Should Be Worried About Any Cardiac Event
I am ba k I have a question I woke up this morning and took my blood pressure as usual because I usually have low normal blood pressure so my gp asks me to monitor it I was a bit light headed got up to fast but then done my readings were as follows :
133/104 88 bmp 6 am oxygen 97
111/82. 94 bmp 6:02 am oxygen 96
101/72 81 bmp 6:04 am diff machine oxygen 96
11-/71 88 bmp 6:07 am diff machine oxygen 96
I was wondering if the first reading was an error as the machine had stopped then continues to inflate … please advise if I should be worried about any cardiac event or if this was just a one off
It is just a machine error
Detailed Answer:
Dear,
I think that the first reading is an error for sure, especially the diastolic value. This value is extremely high and it can not go down in a few seconds.
You should know that the diastolic value is registered in the moment that the machine does not detect the pulse any more, after releasing the pressure. This value may change if you have not put the machine properly or if you move your arm.
So,there is no reason to panic. Just a machine error.
You should know that even when measured manually the blood pressure , a non professional may make the same error.

Your heart rate and blood pressure values are really ok.
So, there is no reason to worry about it!
It is quite normal to have higher blood pressure values when being stressed or during physical activity.
Long flights sre ok for you.
