Brief Answer:
What are your symptoms?

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome here,

I am sorry but the specialist in your selected category is currently unavailable. I am MD Clinical Pharmacology and I will address your issue to the best of my knowledge.

IgG indicates a long term infection. IgA usually suggests that the infection maybe in windpipe, gut, genitourinary tract. How is your blood sugar levels and your overall immunity to fight infections?

It is currently borderline. I don't think you need to get treatment for these especially if the infection is mild and cannot be completely cured. Omega 3 and blue berry extract can help keep it in control as long as these supplements are being taken. The day you stop taking them, there maybe a rebound increase of the infection.

Anyways what symptoms do you have? Do you have any allergies?

Regards,
Dr Vaishalee

Thanks for your response.
I have uneasy feeling in my lower left stomach with certain foods. With probiotics etc, it is ok.
My blood sugar level is 92 fasting and A1C is 5.3. I take 4 gm of omega 3 daily for tri glycerides. I take blue berry extract 3 times a week.
You mentioned IGG indicates long term infection. Pls explain. Does it mean there was infection at some point in the past or there is a continuing infection.
IGA is high. Does it mean I have infection at present.
A doctor suggested I should take Nystatin. Also suggested taking Oregacillin. What is your opinion.
Thanks.

My WBC used to be 4 few years back. My immunity was strong at that time. Now my WBC is 3.5. Last 1 year, my immunity is not strong like before.

Brief Answer:
We should work on taking precautions

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

I have gone through your details.

From your description you don't seem to be having any active infection. In fact, you only have Candida overgrowth in the gastrointestinal tract that may have happened whenever you took some strong medicines or antibiotics last time. So any "antifungals" (llike omega 3, blueberry, oregacillin, nystatin) are not currently recommended. The parameters are also not suggestive of a mild derangement only. You don't have allergies either. The response will be same with these medicines. Whenever you stop them there maybe a rebound increase of infection.

Since the immunity is bit lowered, I will suggest that you take a few basic precautions to avoid infections e.g whatever people did to avoid getting a Covid infection. Since you have some stomach upset, I will suggest that you drink cleaner water with lower TDS levels.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Dr Vaishalee
