Brief Answer:
Your cardiac ultrasound is ok.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I read carefully your cardiac ultrasound report and I am glad to confirm that it is within normal ranges.
The only findings(trace mitral valve regurgitation and trace tricuspid valve regurgitation) have no clinical significance and are common findings in otherwise healthy individuals. There is no reason to worry about it!
Hope you will find this information helpful!
I remain at your disposal in case of further questions whenever you need!
Kind regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka

Thank you for your prompt response.
1) The left atrial volume is mildly increased. Is that ok ?
2) What is normal progression over time for left artrial volume and trace mitral valve regurgitation. Does time put me at risk.
3)These two issues- are they structural or related to life style.
4)Should I make life style changes ? Should I do annual testing ?
Thank you again.

I would explain as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello again, dear Sheila!
1) Let me explain that a left atrial volume at 38 ml/me is considered within normal ranges. LA is not dilated according to above measures. So, LA is quite OK!
2) Trace mitral regurgitation is considered a common normal finding; it's often encountered in normal individuals. So time doesn't put you at a greater risk than other normal individuals.
3) No issues for concern regarding your echo findings.
4) Yes, your should follow a healthy life-style to promote a long life and avoid future health issues. You may perform lab tests annually, like lipid profile, glucose levels, complete blood count, liver and renal function tests, etc.
Hope to have been helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri

Thank you for your response.
1) Is mildly elevated left atrial volume same thing as left atrial enlargement.
2) I read that elevated left atrial volume leads to higher all cause mortality. What are your thoughts.
3)What do you think may be the reasons for mildly high left atrial volume.
Thanks

4) Also do I have left atrial enlargement. Thank you.
Brief Answer:
There is no atrial dilation based on your atrial volume
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Regarding your atrium, you should know that the normal ranges vary between 25-53ml/m2.
So, yours is within normal ranges. There is no mild dilation.
In my opinion there is no reason to panic about this cardiac ultrasound report.
Hope you will find this information helpful!
I would be glad to assist you again in case of further questions!
