Question: Please help I have had regular periods every 27 to 30 day cycles. I have been off my period for 6 days and I am spotting. I am worried as I am trying to conceive. I last had intercourse 5 weeks ago and had a period that was lighter than usual. I have been using clearblue connected ovulation test which shows ovulation. What's wrong with me? I worry with the spotting I will never conceive. Thank you

I did conceive 2.5 years ago but it ended in miscarriage. I was 12 weeks pregnant but baby never grew from 5.5 weeks I am so worried I will never be a mummy

Brief Answer:
Recommended to do a BetaHcg blood test, visit a fertility doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome 'Ask a Doctor' service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you should do a BHcg blood test to check if you are pregnant or not.

You are trying to concieve and according to the previous history of miscarriage and your age I think you need to get medical attention.

Do a pregnancy blood test since you are too early for a home test and if you are pregnant you may need to take progesterone to support it.

I believe you should visit a fertility doctor. Taking count of your previous history of miscarriage, and your age IVF may be a solution because time is precious in your case. Don't waste time and visit a fertility doctor.

Hope I have answered the question.

Brief Answer:
A detailed evaluation is needed to suspect infertility

Detailed Answer:
If you are not pregnant then spotting happens because period will come.

To find out the cause of why you are spotting you should find also the causes which are causing infertility.

A series of evaluations should be done to find out the causes of why you aren't getting pregnant.
A fertility doctor visit is necessary.
