Please Let Me Know If I Have Acquired Any STD Because Of My Act

Question: Hello Dr .

Around 15 days back I had unproctected oral sex with an high end escort ( without condom ) but did not have any vaginal and anal sex . After 1week of this act I developed burning in penis and I had urine culture done which came positive for EColi bacteria , my urologist gave me 3 day course antibiotics and 10 day cranberry tablets .I have finished the antibiotics course of 3 days but still on cranberry tablets . But even now I have burning in my genetal area and penis .
Please let me know if I have acquired any STD because of my act .
Iam really scared of this , kindly advise

No possibility of STD at all.

Thanks for your query.
Based on the fact that you have posted you had unprotected oral sex which followed burning sensation in penis.

At the outset I would categorically state that there no possibility of you acquiring STD. STD is transmitted only through intra vaginal penetrative sexual intercourse and not otherwise.

Start taking Doxicycline twice daily for a week .
Ensure to drink more water .

You may get your urine culture done and switch on to antibiotic as per culture report .

It should get cured within a week
