Question: Hi

I have fissure last week and pain is reduced.

Till date I ate only vegetable and fruits along with rava idli or upma

From when can I take white rice / ragi/ dosa ...? Please let me know in detail what all food I can eat

Thanks for your query.

You can start consuming rice and ragi foods, after a week from now. The disappearance of pain doesn't mean that the fissure is gone. You have to wait for some more time.

Consuming good amount of fruits and vegetable is very necessary. Fiber in these food prevents constipation and straining on stools. This not only allows healing but if the habit continues, there are chances that fissures may not occur again.

Avoid non vegetarian foods including eggs.

I am following below diet is this correct ?..Let me know if I have to add or remove anything

7am - coconut drink
8am - one orange
10am - idli or chapati or upitu
12am - cucumber and butter milk
2pm - beans or beetroot or carrots
4pm - one apple
6pm - pomegranate juice
8pm - spinach or carrots

Yes, this diet is fine. Include oats for breakfast instead of chapati or idli. It has good amount of fiber to help with stools

Once if fissure is healed (assuming XXXXXXX 1month)
Diagnosed on Dec 8th...

Can I eat non veg once in a month from XXXXXXX 8th... Or i should never eat non veg or dairy products (milk/sweets) again in life time ...

Please suggest ur opinion on this..
