Thanks for your reply. My query is that, the medicine as you prescribed will it be enough for 2 months or I may need to continue further? Is it like BP medicines which generally once started can not be taken off easily? Also, plz provide a proper diet which I can follow and any restrictions.
Brief Answer:
Depends
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question, I understand your concern.
Whether to continue or not, it depends upon your bmi and genetic factors.
Only after 2 monthly lipid profile check up, it would be decided that, whether you need lifelong or for few months.
Avoid sweets, simple carbohydrates, oily foods, trans fats, deep fried foods.
Eat green leafy vegetables, healthy fats like avocado, nuts, fish oil.
Keep YOUR BMI under 25.
If currently your BMI is under 25, then most likely you will need lifelong medication.
But if currently your BMI is more than 25, then there are chances, that after reducing your BMI, you would be able to stop the medicine.
I hope your query is clear now.
Thanks and regards
