Question: I have a very painful mouth ulcer on my left side of my tongue. I am not able to speak or eat because it's hurting a lot. I was taking a nutrolin B tablet for the last 2 days, applying zytee gel and taking dolo for pain but it still is not helping. Please suggest if you have to take any antibiotics

Brief Answer:
Have to treat the reason for ulcer first

Detailed Answer:
Hiii first of all thank you for approaching us with your query.I read through it and I must say that the treatment has to be started for the reason for the ulcer. For example if you have a decayed tooth which is sharp edges that is touching the tongue you have to remove that sharp edge either by filling or crown or removal of that tooth.Another reason can be stress related which has to be reduced by doing meditation, yoga etc.First cause has to be treated then the ulcer will be go normally. If infection is there you may have to take Amoxicillin antibiotic( before that please consult a nearby dentist), have lots of citrus fruits, avoid having spicy food, drink lots of water.Hope you understood what I meant.Thank you and have a healthy day.Dr Rohit
