Pregnant. Having Urine Infection. Take Cansoft And Norflox. What Can Be Done?
Thank you for choosing XXXXXXX
I can understand your concern, urinary tract infection is common problem during pregnancy. It's very important to treat this infection. The effectiveness of treatment is based on the antibiotic chosen. I guess, norflox was marked as sensitive on the culture report and hence the choice of your doctor. You can continue it. But, for severe cases of urinary tract infection, hospitalization with intravenous antibiotics is required.
Meanwhile watch for fetal movements, fever, loin pain, development of labour pains, leaking or bleeding per-vaginum. Drink plenty of water.
During first pregnancy the head will go into the pelvis by 38weeks. I suggest you wait till 9th July, depending on your XXXXXXX examination findings, your doctor might suggest you the type of induction of labour. C-section is not the only option here, YOU CAN BE GIVEN A TRIAL OF VAGINAL DELIVERY.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow-ups.
Wish you good health.

Shes hinted me that she will not wait for my due that is 9 july 2013. Due to increasing weight of my baby and giving stressed on Csec.
I am worried please suggest
Nitrofurantoin has shown to be very effective in treating reason you have been put on this drug. Secondly, as you have mentioned your pelvis is not roomy, that means there is CPD (cephalo-pelvic disproportion). Clinically it can be detected by FLOATING HEAD, which has not gone into pelvis and XXXXXXX assessment of pelvis. Moderate to severe degree of CPD is an indication for C-section. Finally it’s your treating physician who will be the best person to decide about the mode of delivery. Kindly do not worry about C-section, its done under anesthesia, you wont feel any pain. And normally the surgery takes 15min to 90min depending on the case and intraoperative situation. Till your delivery, you should be counting your fetal movements one hour after each meal and it should be minimum total of 10 movements/day, and immediately rush to your hospital if you find decreased fetal movements/ leaking/ bleeding per-vaginum.
Hope I have made your doubts clear.
