Pregnant. NT Scan Showed Placenta At The Posterior Wall, Lower End Of Placenta Touching The Internal OS. Should I Be Worried?
Question: Hi Doctor. I am 13 weeks pregnant and got the NT scan done. Doctor says everything is fine with respect to NT and Nasal bone. However, there was one line is the report, which states" Placenta is at the Posterior wall. Lower end of Placenta seen touching the XXXXXXX OS". Also in the report are
Cervical measure 5.1 cm, No uterine or adnexal mass, POD is clear and No free fluid.
No gross foetal anomaly is detected at this stage. Nasal bobe is seen
Please let me know whether I should be worried about anything

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The findings of your ultrasound scan are within normal limits.
The touching of placenta to the os is not worrisome. It should not cover the cervical os in which case it is called a placenta praevia. Please do not worry.
Rest of the findings are also normal.
Hope this answers your query. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.
Wishing you good health.
