Question: Query for Dr Kakkar Hi dr i have a hair fall problem, almost im becoming bald and side patchs are visible. im attaching images kindly look into it and suggest treatment for hair growth. Also doc i have a waxy and sticky kind of dandruff since long time, i tried all anti dandruff shampoos but did not work, i lost more hair but problem did not solved and with in a day after washing my hair by evening my scalp becomes more oily, kindly help dr.

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have read your query as well as viewed the images and here is my advice.
I can see a patch on the side which is regrowing white hairs. You seem to have Alopecia Areata which presents as smooth, bald patches, most commonly on the scalp but also on face (beard, moustache, eyebrows etc). A lot of patients regrow hair spontaneously however a few may require treatment. The treatment of choice is intralesional injection of triamcinolone acetonide. I suggest you to kindly visit a Dermatologist in your region for the needful. For dandruff I suggest you to use an antidandruff shampoo daily e.g Sebamed antidandruff shampoo Or Scalpe shampoo.

Thanks for the suggestion Dr, I will definitely visit a dermatologist doctor, the injection which you suggested is it available in medicine form, In Alopecia Areata case can you tell me what foods should be taken and what not,
and pls suggest any topical application ointment
