Question Regarding Blood Pressure Levels Throughout The Day. In My

In my morning readings I tend to have a normal BP of about 117/70 but as I get moving throughout the day, walking and talking, general stressors, etc...it will start going up to about 140/75. I have noticed times of 150 briefly too. If I sit and relax for about 10 mins it generally drops back down to 120/70 or so. My question is around wether or not this variation is acceptable for day to day activity and normal stressors or if I should add another BP medicine like a channel blocker to keep it from going up as much?

Hello!
Welcome on -Ask a Doctor- service!
I passed carefully through your concern and would like to explain that your recent blood pressure values are not concerning.
Your BP values at rest seem quite OK. The increase during physical or psychological stress is considered physiologically normal if it has a proportional pattern with the degree of stressors.
So, in case you don't have any obvious coronary risk factors, the best strategy to follow would be to closely monitor your blood pressure (several times daily) for a couple of days and consult them with your attending doctor.
Actually I don't think you need any change in the therapeutic strategy.
Hope to have been helpful to you!
In case of any further questions, feel free to ask me again.
Kind regards,
