Re Constipation - Whether As A Factor Of Age, Diet,

Question: Re constipation - whether as a factor of age, diet, or side-effect of meds I am taking, I am suffering from hard stools and constipation. I find home enema treatment (eg. Fleet enema for adults) a great relief but my question is how often is it safe / advisable to use them per week?
Thanks
