Question: ReDiagnosed with uti and. Biral sore throat 10 days agHad cipro c 5 days and am on day 5 of 7 on macrobid.Still. with pain at times when pee.Gast strep test was neg.Throat still red and glandd still swollen;andstill have low hrade temp and fatigue with low grade temp
What would you reccomend re

Thanks for query .

Based on the facts that you have posted you seem to have UTI with sore throat due to viral infection and have been taking Cipro and Macrobid since last 5 days .

Considering the persistent of symptoms of UTi in spite of taking Cipro I would suggest you to get urine culture done and take appropriate antibiotic as per culture report ..

Taking antacids like Pantaprozole along with antibiotic will help to ease out gastric symptoms .

Ensure to have saline pr Betadine mouth wash gargles 4 times daily This will help to reduce the soreness in throat .

One can get fever if infection persists even after taking antibiotics. Hence, appropriate antibiotic therapy is necessary as per urine culture report to eradicate infection completely.

Now havong cramps/spasms midline just a bobe pubic area.No gever today
FINISHED MACROBID 9;30pm tonight
COULD THIS BE BLADFER SPASM?IDIT COMMON WITH UTI?WHAT DO YOU RECCOMEND?

Did home test forITI positive lukeocytes, neg nitrates.Bladder spasms much less severe today

Temp99.2(o)Have fever blisters on lower lip
