Brief Answer:
Thanks, I just checked the picture
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for sending it. I can only imagine how frustrating the problem is for you. I glad up hear that she checked under the microscope for yeast, because what you showed me certainly appeared like it could be yeast. I wonder if it might be a good idea to ask to have yeast cultures done to look for atypical types of yeast. these are more rare than typical yeast, and they won't usually respond to the over the counter medicines.
Also, how long did you try the estrogen gel for? sometimes you need to use it for 4-6 weeks before you have relief.
I am trying to think of other possibilities. it does appear like it could be vaginal surface that sloughed off due to irritation, which could be a result of
estrogen deficiency, yeast, or something else. personally, my next step would be yeast cultures. these are not usually done with the standard vagunal cultures so they were probably not done yet.
just thinking some more, sometimes polyps growing on the
cervix or inflammation on the cervix can cause unusual discharge as well, but I would suspect that the
OBGYN already checked for that, but maybe he/she can check again to make sure?
I hope this is at least helpful, I will let you know if I think of something else,
