Question: ,Received this from the dr later today. I am really worried. I have a UTI and he wanted to do xrays to make sure no stones. He said None, Dr gave me kflex for UTI, but received the following message later.
"The radiologist noticed an unusual finding on your X-ray. They think it was likely something outside your body that caused a shadow on the X-ray. But it would be a good idea to repeat the X-ray in 2 weeks to be sure. I put in the order for a repeat X-ray 2 weeks from now. We will call you if anything shows up on that film. Follow up with your doctor if not improved in the meantime.
Take care"

Brief Answer:
Not much to worry s the shadow is said to be outside of body

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your history and query.
As per the information you have provided, my thoughts area as follows:
The message specifically mentioned: '' likely something outside your body that caused a shadow on X-ray". This alsos means that it is not in the line with kidney, ureter or urinary bladder.
This can be easily solved by the following:
X-ray in lateral position.
Ultrasonography of abdomen and pelvis or CT scan will be confirmatory.
Hence relax at the moment, take medications properly, see for the results.
Further investigations as would be advised by your Doctor.

And give feedback.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.

Brief Answer:
Stones or obstruction

Detailed Answer:
This can be decided only by investigations.
With history of UTI the possibility of stones or partial obstruction in urinary tract from kidneys urinary bladder can be thought of.
Let the further investigations get us appropriate findings.

I hope this answers your additional query.
