Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

I reviewed carefully your test reports and would explain as follows:

- Your resting ECG and cardiac ultrasound show an overall normal heart function and structure. So, I would exclude a cardiac issue based on these findings and the description of your complaints.

-Your complete blood count shows an increase in the Eosinophyl absolute blood count, which could be related to an allergic reaction or inflammation/ infection.
Your fibrogastroscopy shows local fungal infection in the esophagus, which could explain these increased eosinophyl levels.

It shows also local inflammation in the duodenum ( and two benign polyps). So, nothing serious.

You need to take antifungal therapy coupled with PPI ( omeprazole, pantoprazole, etc.).

-Your uric acid levels are high, which means that you need to avoid proteins in your diet ( meat, beans ,etc). If uric acid levels do not drop after a month, I would recommend starting therapy to help reduce uric acid levels.

- Your amylase plasma levels are high too, which means that you need to check your pancreas. I would recommend performing an abdominal ultrasound for this purpose.

To conclude, considering your complaints, I would recommend performing a chest X ray study and pulmonary function tests in order to exclude a possible lung disorder.

You should discuss with your Doctor on the above issues.

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

With regard to the suspected fungal infection, doctor prescribed medication (as attached herewith), and probably that could be the reason it cane down to 700 after the course is completed. However about a months back when I checked (earlier you have seen) it over 1209.

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Your echo parameters are within the normal ranges.

DDGI may stand for: Differential diagnosis gastrointestinal.

Anyway, this is nothing serious!

I recommend performing an abdominal ultrasound in order to examine your liver and pancreas.

Regarding the high eosinophil count, I would recommend performing some other tests:

- a chest X-ray study
- allergy tests
- stool analysis for parasites.

For the shortness of breath during physical activity, it is also important to check pulmonary function tests.

You should discuss it with your doctor on the above tests.

Wishing all the best,

Dr.Iliri

Dr
just to clerify something. one who works in heakth sector told me DDGI in echo stands for Diastolic Dysfunction Grade I.

Are you aware of it and if so how serious it is.

some terminologies may differ from region to region.

Brief Answer:
Opinion as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Let me explain that diastolic dysfunction of grade I shows only a mild alteration of ventricular diastolic properties. You shouldn't worry too much about.

It is not specific, as it is load dependent; it may be due to uncontrolled hypertension, some degree of left ventricular hypertrophy, or even some degree of hypovolemia (decreased circulating blood volume).

This pattern may change over time, and does not denote any dangerous or life-threatening condition.

So, just relax and don't worry about it!

Let me know in case of any further questions.

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
