Thanks for your query.
Boils or medically called furuncle is a skin infection caused by bacteria Staphylococcus aureus.
The bacteria cause inflammation and resulting in a painful swollen area on the skin and accumulation of pus.
Recurring of boils occurs when the antibiotic used happens to be inadequate in coverage or is not sensitive towards the infection causing bacteria
Antibiotics like Amoxicillin and sometimes Cephalosporins are commonly used antibiotics to treat such sort of infection.
Since it is a recurring infection it will be advisable to get routine blood investigations like CBC,Blood sugar done.
It will be better to consult a Dermatologist(skin specialist) and get this infection treated.
If the doctor advises you can get the blood culture and sensitivity done for isolation of the organism and a better selection of antibiotics.
