Question: My husbands groin has a white discharge, sore and red. What could this be

1] How long has this been there? A couple of days
2] Is there any history of injury? He did have the same thing about a month ago
3] Associated symptoms like fever etc ? No just the pus (with a smell), soreness and redness on the groin (the bikini line on women)
4] Swelling in other groin ? No
5] History of Diabetes? No
6] Pictures if you can send ? No pictures
7] Any investigations done ? Just on the internet and in the medical text books I have from a medical assistance program

What I gather from your information is that he has either of the following :
1] An infected boil or a cyst which has ruptured
2] An infected lymphnode
In either case you need to get the culture report of the pus done and start antibiotics accordingly
Also dress the wound after cleaning it with povidone iodine solution daily
