Question: What is meaning and effect of report saying : Liver appears enlarged and shows reduced echopattern
Brief Answer:
Please send your details on illness.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.
Ultrasound scans are done to know if there are any structural changes.
If your liver is enlarged and shows altered echo pattern, you need to take certain liver function tests to know the bilirubin and enzyme levels in your body.
Your spleen is also enlarged and that may be due to infection.
I would like you to tell reason for ultrasound scan.
You may please tell me any history of alcohol intake and medical problems that you might have.
I have seen X ray and ultrasound reports but am sorry to say that all reports are not visible any please upload again.
Waiting for an update from your end.
