Brief Answer:
Continue ventoline inhaler when needed

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in HCM

I can understand your concern

Usually in mild COPD the treatment is based in the symptoms such as difficulty in breathing and Spirometry test values.

As the first choice for the treatment there are long effect bronchodilators inhaler or nebuliser form such as Formoterol, or salmeterol or Indacaterol.

We recommend ventoline inhaler if your difficulty of breathing is rare not continuous, more in walking periods and especially if the spirometry values are in normal values.

So according to your presentation of the symptoms you belong to the later group and in my opinion you are given the correct treatment.

Can I increase the nebulizer usage from a six hour interval to a more frequent interval? Seems relief lasts approximately 2-3 hours?

Brief Answer:
Be careful if you have high heart rates

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

You should keep in mind that the lifelong effect of ventoline is 4-6 hours.
If you say that the relief is for 2-4 hours than your situation is not so good.Yes you can use more frequent it but be careful if you have problems with your heart rates (high) because ventoline increase them by itself.
