Review Health Report Concern With B12 Deficient
Question: I have uploaded my annual health report for your review and guidance. Please note that I have Dubin-Johnson syndrome, which was diagnosed by a doctor about 5/6 years ago. Every year, my report shows a slightly higher bilirubin level.
Surprisingly, my B12 levels are on the higher side, which is unexpected as I am a pure vegetarian. Normally, I am B12 deficient and take B12 supplements, but for the past few months, I haven't been taking them regularly. I'm unsure if this is a major concern. Could it be due to lesser water intake?
Thank you for your attention and guidance

Brief Answer:
High serum B12 is not a cause for worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details.
Vitamin B12 is a water soluble vitamin and after getting it via supplementation route , accumulates in sufficient quantity and slowly consumed. Even if you skip few doses, deficiency won't manifest very soon. So as you said, you have taken it in the past, that is the reason for a slightly elevated levels.
Lesser water intake won't cause an elevated levels as your pcv is also fairly ok .
Higher levels of vitamin B 12 won't cause any health related issue.
You can safely restart supplementation after a few months.
Feel free to ask further.
Kind regards
