Ripples On Skull, Long Bumps In A Row. Is This Normal?
Question: I've noticed my skull is developing what seem to be ripples. I noticed one at the back of my head a while ago and just figured I never noticed it before but now on the left side there is about 4 long bumps In a row that were definitely not there before. I'm not sure if this is normal or if I should worry about it
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to Healthcare Magic!
The ripples you have noticed are actually the ridges and furrows of skull surface.
Skull is smooth and round but it is bony structure.
Bony structures give attachment to muscles. And for that there are these uneven ripples like structures.
They were always there, you have noticed them now by chance.
They are never painful and won't cause trouble because they are normal anatomical structures.
If you have any further query please let me know I would try to answer it for you.
Wish you a great health!
