Shall I Be Concerned And Keep My Son Away From The Sick Kids?
Shall I be concerned and keep my son away from the sick kids? it is a bit difficult to understand as other kids that had close contact with the sick child are still in isolation from their exposure. I understand that there must be reason, perhaps because once the fever is gone and 10days after the onset of the symptom, the sick child is no longer infectious. Is that correct?
Thanks!
Helen
No need to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The first thing that we need to understand is the dynamics of COVID-19 infection. This is a sub-section of Corona virus which has been around us for eternity and has been causing common cold. Common cold spreads by microdroplets as we speak or cough and the other person breathes those in. So, if your child is properly masked up and does not remove it at any condition, I do not think that you need to worry even if there is a person with XXXXXXX COVID lurking around. Moreover, with most infections being asymptomatic, just marking the people who have suffered from a COVID infection just does not make sense. Also, they are not going to spread the virus for eternity and once they are no longer coughing around, you can feel at ease having them around. I do not suppose that you need to worry about the kid who has once affected and need not consider him infection.
Hope that helps.
