Brief Answer:
Breathlessness and blood during the cough

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I am sorry for your situation, I've reviewed the reports...I can understand your concern

According to the history, you provide probably you are suffering from cystic fibrosis which is a cause of bronchiectasis in childhood.

Nevertheless, in such conditions, the blood tests are not so problematic and are not an exact indication of your actual clinical picture.

It is the chest CT, the spirometry test and the arterial blood gases that are the real indicators of your lung function actually.
If you have them you can attach me and I will try to help you again.
If you feel breathlessness or if you have blood during the cough then you should go to the ER to be evaluated and to seek medical help.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a common bacterial finding in bronchiectasis patients.

Hope to have been helpful. Feel free to ask further.

Regards

Dr.Jolanda
