Question: I accidentally too my husband’s blood pressure medicine. Amlodipine/Benazepril 5/40. My blood pressure is typically around 115/70. Should I be concerned? I’m also on synthroid, Zoloft and vistaril. I’m pretty healthy other than being obese.

Hope you have a good health

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question. Hope I can be of help to you today. Do you have a blood pressure machine at home? Both medicines can cause you low blood pressure Benazepril effect seen within an hour of oral administration and it peaks the effect between two to four hours. Amlodipine is a significant reduction in blood pressure at 24 to 48 hours after the first dose with a time to peak 6 to 12 hours. Check your blood pressure frequency and If you have your blood pressure too low and have symptoms of dizziness or almost fainted go to the hospital as soon as possible.

I hope that It can help you, and please let me know if you have any clarification or questions about that, and I would be welcome to discuss it with you further. I hope you have good health.

Best regards,
