Hi so I took Mirtaz 7.5 on Wednesday night .. it’s Saturday night now & I am still feeling the effects of the drug ..
I have a lot of brain fog / confusion / pain in my forehead & my body is moving very slowly I am unable to move fast ..
I need to work a lot & wondering when can I get back to work ? When will the effects of MIRTAZ 7.5 vanish from my body ?
Thank you

Dear Jaivir,
Thanks for follow up.
I am sorry to know that single dose of mirtazepine causing lot of issues despite the passage of 3-4 days. Generally the sedative effects get clear within 1-2 days for most patients but I feel you have extended reaction which can last upto seven days. This is because mirtazepine have half life of 20-40 hours and it needs five half lifes to get the medication completely out of system.
I hope this helps you.
Thanks again.

Thank you so much for answering the above really appreciate it ..
So it has 5 half lives .. today is the 5th morning I still feel slightly dizzy in the mornings mild dizzyness & usually starts to become worse in the evenings ...
So that means by 7 days the half life of the drug is over & it will take another 14 days for it to 100% be out of my system ?
Is there anything I can do to make the drug get out of my system faster ? Also how long will the side effects last ?
Also can you please provide your Wats app number ?
I am extremely worried it’s 5th day & still some side effects persist especially (forehead pain in left side of forehead / confusion / brain fog / dizzyness)
Also I have to get back to work .. when do you think I can 100% get back to work ?

Dear Jaivir,
Thanks for follow up.
We have no option other than time to get out of side effects such as excessive sedation, headache among others.
However to some extent caffeinated drinks can help you to keep awake and attentive.
Since it is almost seven days after the use of mirtazepine I feel almost all side effects are practically over.
I hope this answers you.
Thanks again.
