Question: I have a hard formation of skin on my left shoulder. I have attached the image. It has been there since the last 3 years at least. There is no marked increase in size. What is this? Should I be worried?

Brief Answer:
Could be a healed sebaceous cyst.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have read your query sand seen the picture. As per the picture this appears to be a healed tissue - probably sebaceous gland( though the picture is not very clear)
If it has not increased for three years , then In my opinion , no surgery is required. If it Itches ,increases in size ,becomes red or has any discharge or any other change then it would be better to get it removed and biopsied. Do not worry at present , just be observant.
Thanks for the question.
