Should I Be Worried About Shorter Period Bleeding That Resumed A Year Postpartum?

Question: Dear Doctor,
I have a query regarding menstruation. I gave birth to my first child in March, 2016. I got my periods back after one year of my delivery. Now, I get my periods regularly every month. However I have noticed that my periods are way shorter than what they used to be prior to my pregnancy. The first day of my periods I experience very heavy bleeding. But from the next day the bleeding almost stops and there just is some spotting. And spotting stops by the third day or so.. Do I have to be worried? Should I meet a doctor?

If the periods are regular and the duration is more than one day, then there is absolutely nothing to worry.
The flow of the periods decrease physiologically with increasing age.
There is nothing to be concerned about.

Symptoms of early menopause are delayed periods.
So, it is unlikely to be the cause.
Be stress-free and there will be no problem in conceiving further due to scanty flow.
