Should I Be Worried For Accidentally Ate Melted Plastic Along With Chicken?
Question: Hi, I accidentally ate melted plastic along with chicken yesterday. My father had grilled the chicken, then covered it with a plastic plate and left it below the barbeque. Some portion of the plate melted, but he cleared it away and served it to eat. After eating 3-4 pieces, I realised there's a bit of melted plastic on it. I've not experienced any abdominal pain so far, and bowel movement is also fine. But I fear it may cause some long-term damage as burnt/melted plastic is said to be cancerous.
Also to note, the plastic plate was of Tupperware, and around 12-13 years old. I'm not aware of what material it was built of.
Request you to pls let me know how dangerous the situation is and what I should do now.
