Should I Be Worried For My Own Health (male) If
Question: Should I be worried for my own health (male) if my girlfriend had HPV and cervical cancer 8 years ago but was treated with chemo and cleared? A few years later she contracted chlamydia but was also treated for that.
Brief Answer:
No need to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
After a complete treatment 8 years ago, there is no need to worry. After the treatment, the infections cannot be transmitted to the partner. She needs to have regular check ups by her gynecologist to confirm that there is no relapse.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.

I read that even after treatment, HPV is still present in the body and contagious. Is this true? Also if I am a carrier of mononucleosis could that be harmful to her?
Brief Answer:
Chances of transmission are very low.
Detailed Answer:
HPV remains in a dormant state in the body but the chances of transmission after proper treatment are less. In case you are actively infected with mononucleosis then chances of infection transmission are there.
