Should I Get Further Investigations Blood Test Normal Including Thyroid Function?

Question: For the previous 11 months I have noticed a strange change in my metabolism. Every 3 days or so my metabolism is higher than a normal day and I lose weight even if calories and activity levels are same.Overall I have put on weight approximately 12kg this time but worried I have cancer because of the days I lose weight. Blood test normal including thyroid function. Should I get further investigations?
