Should I Give Any Ointment For A Red Spot In Her Fore Head?
Question: My daughter (8 months old) fell from bed, I see a red spot in her fore head, I've given hot water sponging immediately, Should I give any ointment? Please suggest any medicine if needed.
Brief Answer:
No ointment or medications needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read your query and here is my advice.
If the baby is calm and acting normally after the fall you may only use cold compress or ice pack on the red spot. No medications or ointments needed in this case.
If the baby cries and doesn't get calm, if she vomited or is excessively sleepy if she has a bulging in the front head ,if blood or yellow fluid comes from nose you may need to send her to ER .
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.

Thanks for your response doctor, sure I'll use ice pack as you suggested. We do not see any bump and she acts normal, we have observe no other symptoms however red spot is there. I've attached few images for your reference. Hope that is normal.

Hello dear thank you for attaching the photos.
Now I can clearly see the situation.
I don't think it is problematic at all.
