Question: Have crohns disease on weekly humaria. See my gastro every 6 months for checksup. However all he does is ask me how my symptoms are. I get frequent hemmroids and fissures per the GI even though colonscopy been clear. At time not sure that is what it is or not. My concern is the gastro does not do any type of physical exam. He gets my blood work from my PCP every 6 months. Should i not be getting a physical exam to monitor the conditions at my checkups.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I appreciate your concerns and have gone through your query in detail.
See crohns disease and hemorrhoids and fissures are all different things.
Most common cause of hemorrhoids and fissure is constipation.
As far as physical examination is concerned for hemorrhoids and fissures physical examination is done called DRE(Digital rectal examination).
However for crohn's there no physical examination and colonoscopy is the treatment of choice.
In case you have any other concern please feel free to write back.
Thanks and regards.
