Question: I accidentally took 1 of my dog’s apoquel. It was a 16 mg tablet. I am a 68 year old woman who weighs 145 pounds. I really don’t want to go to the ER unless I really have to. I usually take my blood pressure medicine before bedtime. Should I skip it tonight?

Brief Answer:
If no any significant adverse effects, you can wait.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have read your question.

If you experience any possible adverse effects of Apoquel (such as vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, decreased energy (lethargy), increased thirst, etc.) then you should be seen at the ER.

Otherwise, if you don't experience any significant problems, there is no need to go to the ER.

You can use the blood pressure medicine as usual.

I hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
