Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your query. I think we can consider laboratory value of vitamin B12. They are reliable. We can wait and need not start medicines.
I hope this helps you. Please feel free to discuss further.

Hi,
Yes, both are same but the method of doing the test varies and hence the unit. pmol/L is picomoles per litre and pg/mL is Picograms per milliliter.
1 pg/mL = 0.272405 pmol/L
We need not worry about the units, we need to see if they are within range. I would suggest you wait and repeat vitamin B12 result in same XXXXXXX laboratory after 3 months to compare. If it is normal then need to start on any medicines, if not we can start on supplements.
I hope this helps you. Please feel free to discuss further.

Hi,
Healthian doctor said that.
1.Healthians report is total b12 count.
2 XXXXXXX health lab report is active b12
so that means active b12 count is normal and inactive count is low?..
Qsts:
Is the above statements true?
if true and my inactive b12 is low ?.Will it have any issue?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Sorry for the delay in reply.
We always consider active b12 level only as that is what is readily available for our body to use. Total b12 is pound to a protein and cannot be used by our body. So as your active b12 is normal, you need not take any additional supplements.
I hope this helps you. Please feel free to discuss further.
