Should Progesterone Be Continued During Pregnancy Even When Levels Are Normal?

I recently asked you a question about progesterone supplements. My wife has undergone 3 miscarriages in total, 2 of them were in 2014. She is in her early pregnancy now. Doctor prescribed her endometrin vaginal inserts for progesterone supplement to try and prevent another miscarriage. She got her blood work done and her progesterone level is 31. As of today, 5 weeks have passed after Last Menstrual Period. The question is should she still use the progesterone vaginal inserts considering that the progesterone level looks good.
We want to understand if using progesterone supplements would be good or not at this stage. Looking forward to your guidance.

I understand your concern..
Yes, progesterone supplement should be given in people who have repeated abortion.. Progesterone will be produced naturally in utero.. An extra supplement wont harm the fetus.. It will make the uterus relax and ensure the uterine environment to be favourable for the fetus to grow.. So please dont stop it.. Continue it till 12 weeks.. Vaginal inserts can be changed to oral tablets if she is not comfortable with it after cardiac activity appears..
In your wife's case, I would also suggest to start on aspirin and low dose heparin as soon as the cardiac activity appears.. This will increase the blood supply to the baby..
Is she negative blood group? If so, get an ICT blood test done..
