Should I Be Concerned About A Dry Patch On Each Elbow?
Question: I have had for over 3 years now a dry patch on each elbow equal to the size of a quarter. It is red, dry, and sometimes I can remove dry portions. I have tried every thing including doctor prescribed ointments, and lotions, to no avail. Someone suggested I may have celiac disease. Is this possible? What can I do to get rid of this?
Brief Answer:
Please provide photo of red, dry, patch on elbow...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Before running into final conclusions, I gently ask to have a photo of the dry patch on your elbow! That could help me assist you further.
From what you are prescribing, your problems go for psoriasis or eczema. However, I would be in better position to answer if you upload the photo.
Looking forward to have the requested photos soon...

Brief Answer:
Phototherapy might be needed...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If this is the case, then, I would suggest to consult a dermatologist to determine psoriasis as diagnosis and its severity.
Please bare in mind that psoriasis is being treated based on the severity of the symptoms. As it is an autoimmune disease, psoriasis can only be treated the symptoms, it cannot be cured permanently.
If the ointments and other OTC treatments did not succeed to relieve your symptoms, then, you might need prescription medicines from the dermatologist. You might need photo-therapy or other biological solutions that only your dermatologist will decide better based on physical examination.
