Should I Continue Taking Modus Pills During Vaginal Spotting?

Question: Hello there,
I need urgent help.
I am 32 years old. I am going on vacation from 13th April to 28th april. I was suppose to get my periods on 6th April as I am on a 28 days cycle. But I didn't get my periods up till 8th April. So I started taking Modus 10 mg from 8pm twice a day, however I saw minimal spotting for 2 days but I had bleeding again today which is 10th April.. I am unsure if should continue the pill or let the periods begin. Please advice as I am unsure.

Brief Answer:
You should stop Modus.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Now that your periods have started it is better to stop taking the pill so that your periods will finish by 13th. To delay the periods you should start taking modus at least 5 days before the expected date of periods.
Now if you continue taking modus then the irregular spotting and bleeding might continue during your vacation. It is better stop Modus for now.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Thanks for your quick response. I wanted to check that the bleeding is not heavy yet and I am worried that it may not end by the 13th April. Is there any other alternate solution for my situation as I am going on a vacation for a religious reason and I need to be done with my periods by the 13th night which is still 3 days including today. Please advice.
Brief Answer:
Both ways the bleeding can continue during your vacation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If you stop taking Modus the bleeding may continue till 14th or 15th depending on the normal duration of your periods. But continuing Modus will cause this light bleeding to continue. In both the conditions it will be difficult for you to participate in religious ceremonies. There is no way to stop the bleeding instantly. That needs a prior hormonal therapy.
It is better to stop Modus and hope that the bleeding will stop in 3 days.
Hope my answer is helpful.
