Should I Continue Thyronorm After Child Birth Despite Normal Thyroid Levels?
Question: Dear doctor,
I have a 14 month baby. During my first trimester, TFT test showed TSH as around 5, so doctor started 25mcg thyronorm for me, which continued for the whole pregnancy and feeding period with regular TFT tests. Now, feeding is over since around a month, and TFT test 2 days back showed TSH as 2.7, T3 as 2.83 and T4 as 1.18 which I feel is normal. Can I try stopping the thyronorm for a few weeks and re-doing the test to see if it affects my thyroid levels? Till when do I need to continue taking thyronorm? I basically am looking forward to stop this medication if possible.
Thanks,
